About Me

Hi, I’m Rhio. I’m 42 and have a 20-year-old son. I run on Biscoff (apparently), grief, ADHD, Cyberpunk 2077, pure spite, and the occasional furious rant about biscuits.

I also collect medical diagnoses like Pokémon. None of them are shiny, but a few have evolved.

This is not a niche blog. I tried. I failed. I’m not sorry.

Niches feel like a straitjacket to someone like me – and I’ve spent most of my life trying to stay out of one, especially when it comes to mental health.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Eating disorder stuff (currently attempting recovery from a relapse at age 41—EDs affect older people too, who knew?)
  • ARFID, ADHD, and whatever else my brain is doing this week
  • Rage at the NHS (a personal hobby)
  • Grief for my best friend, which sneaks up on me mid-Biscoff spoon
  • Bears. Many bears. And their friends: penguins, bees, and several other Jellycat purchases I was convinced would cure me at 3am
  • Posts about my favourite space-themed bath bomb and how it reminds me of the void of space itself
  • Emotional support plushies in dramatic lighting, often in Starbucks
  • Cyberpunk 2077 references in posts that have nothing to do with Cyberpunk 2077. (If you’re new: yes, that was a Johnny Silverhand metaphor. No, I won’t be explaining it.)

Also: I draw! I love realism and illustration – especially penguins and bears, my recovery sidekicks. I draw the stuff my words can’t always say, like how terrifying it is to eat, or how quietly hopeful a cup of coffee can be.

This blog is part journal, part creative outlet, part “scream into the void but politely.”

If you’re into emotional chaos, existential snack reviews, wondering how much caffeine a human can consume during a cluster headache before they start seeing noises, or crying over your protein bar because it tastes like progress – hi. You’re home.

Stick around if you’d like. I love reading all kinds of blogs and am always looking for connection.

Bring your plushies. We’re fully authentic here, probably to a fault — but the soft and fluffy will always follow along.
